Who is Active?
Active is a new registration & account platform that we are rolling out for Adventure Camp 2019. You can register for our camps via Active at the link above and create an account. Upon registration, parents can log back into this account to manage registrations, make payments, fill out forms, and much more!
What can my child expect at Adventure Camp?
Each child is grouped with kids in their same grade and rotates through activities such as field games, creative projects, cooking, indoor games, etc. These activities are designed as much as possible to match the theme for the week. In general, children stay with their same grade but may be combined with a similar age group for some parts of the day. Lunch, snacks, small group times, and quiet time are regularly scheduled each day for the same time slots. The planned activities are different each day, but some things tend to happen at similar points in the week:
Water Activities are generally planned for Wednesday (weather & schedule permitting).
Field trips are generally planned for Thursday (except “Once Upon a Time,” we are not meeting on July 4th. The field trip will likely be Wednesday).
How much does a week at Adventure Camp cost? How much is before care, after care, and lunch?
Each week of Adventure Camp is $215 / child. We do not currently offer multi-child or multi-week discounts. “Once Upon a Time” is discounted as we are not meeting on July 4th. Before care, after care, and lunch can be included each week for an additional cost. These can be added to each registration via your Active account.
Before Care (7:30am - 9:00am): $5 per day for each child attending.
After Care (4:00pm - 5:30pm): $5 per day for each child attending.
Lunch: $5 per day for each child attending. This will become available on your Active account as summer approaches.
Who can attend Adventure Camp?
Kids that will be in Kindergarten - 5th grade for the 2019 - 2020 academic year are welcome to attend Adventure Camp.
When does registration for each week close?
Registration closes when each week reaches capacity OR on the Wednesday before camp begins. We need this lead time to know how many supplies to purchase and to give our field trip locations final numbers.
Are camp t-shirts provided?
Yes. Each child's first registration of the summer includes a shirt. We ask that all kids wear this shirt whenever we are leaving the campus for a field trip. T-shirts can be picked up on the first day of camp.
Can I register my child for camp without paying a deposit?
We are unable to accept registrations without a deposit of $30 per week for each child. This deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are required to help us better forecast attendance for each week. Purchasing, staging, planning, and staffing are largely dependent on the number of students attending camp.
When is the balance of payment for camp due?
The balance left to pay for each week is due the Friday before each camp begins. Any amount owed will be auto-deducted from the credit card associated with your Active account on that date. You can make early payments, add registrations, choose “add-ons,” and request refunds on your Active account.
Can I register my child for a partial week?
We are only able to accept registrations for whole weeks. We do not offer discounted rates for missed days.
How can I cancel a registration?
Refunds can be requested via your Active account. Please keep in mind that we make purchasing decisions, hire staff, and plan programming based on each child’s registration. We will be unable to refund deposits for cancelled registrations. Additional amounts paid beyond the deposit may be non-refundable.
