What is the mission of Adventure Camp, and how do the staff help accomplish that mission?

Our Mission: “To provide kids with unforgettable summer memories where they make new friends, are valued by their leaders, and encounter the good news of Jesus Christ in a safe and welcoming environment.”

We hire energetic, responsible, and Gospel-centered people to help us meet these goals. Our staff are trained to be effective leaders and caring counselors to help the kids have a great camp experience. Each staff is also challenged to grow in their faith in Jesus as we look to share the Gospel throughout the summer.

What positions are available at Adventure Camp?

Generally speaking, we hire 2 different roles: Counseling Staff & Production Staff.

Counseling: These staff spend the majority of their week on a consistent team of co-counselors, leading a group of kids through all of the camp activities & helping to create a fun and memorable environment for the kids. The counseling staff make up about 95% of our team.

Production: These staff spend the majority of their day facilitating the atmosphere and activities of Adventure Camp. This includes set-up, take-down, cleaning, leading activities, arrival / dismissal duties, and anything else needed to help camp run smoothly. The production staff make up about 5% of our team.

Do staff need to commit to the whole summer?

Our staff need to commit to as much of the summer as possible. A consistent staff helps us work together more effectively, and it is also extremely beneficial to our campers. With advanced notice, there is the potential to receive limited time off for vacation. We are also able to accommodate for the various university calendars around returning to school in the late summer.
